Staying Active at Home!
As we are being asked to stay at home more than ever before, I thought it would be useful to share some fun links, videos and activities to help keep children active. We all know that keeping active is important for not only our physical health but also our mental health. The current NHS guidance states that children should aim to be active for 60 minutes a day. In school, we aim to provide 30 of those minutes so there is still 30 minutes of activity left to complete at home. Here are some easy ways to achieve those extra 30 minutes:

Keep fit challenge!
Each half term there will be a new challenge to complete. Try the challenge and send in your videos for a chance to win a special prize and be Quarry Mount’s next challenger!
Summer 1 keep fit challenge: How many kick ups can you do with a ball? You can use any ball and practise as much as you want. When you are ready to submit your challenge, please email a video to your class teacher along with the number you achieved by Friday 21st May. The winner in each key stage will get a special prize and have the opportunity to set the next keep fit challenge!
