Key Dates for Spring 1

Thursday 5th February – Coffee afternoon & bake sale
Friday 13^th February – Training Day (school closed to pupils)
Friday 13^th February - School closes for February half term

Physical Education

PE days are Tuesdays and Fridays. The children will need to come to school in their PE kit on these days. PE kit should consist of a navy or white t-shirt and navy shorts or navy/black tracksuit bottoms or leggings. Children will need pumps or trainers because we will be outside as much as possible.

Reading Books

Books will be changed on Fridays and will need to be returned to school on Fridays. Please try to listen to your child reading for at least 5-10 minutes each day.
Sharing a book at bedtime or reading a story to your child will help them develop a love for reading!

Spellings

Spelling Tests take place on Fridays and new spellings will be given out on the same day. Words will be given to your child in a spelling book to learn. Please make sure that your child looks after their book and that you check it regularly. Thank you.

Homework

Children have the opportunity to complete activities from the topic homework menu. These activities link to the learning we will be doing in class that half term. Children will also be sent either a reading or maths homework each week. This will go out on a Thursday and will need to be returned by the following week.
