Senior Executive - Business Management & HR
Appointed to the board of governors in May 2020. I was keen to be involved with an inner-city primary school that had a strong ethos of not just creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for children, but also a passion for engaging with their local community.
As Senior Executive of Learning Partnerships, an education and learning charity, we work across many inner-city communities in Leeds and with many primary schools, offering a range of education, learning and volunteering opportunities for children, young people, and adults. My professional experience, along with my skills and qualifications in business management and HR will enable me to work with the head teacher, senior leadership team and wider governing body to support them in the effective management of the school. I am also a member of the teaching and learning sub-committee, with a particular interest in literacy.
I am a mum to two boys aged 9 and 11, my eldest has recently finished his primary school experience and as a parent you realise how pivotal a role schools play not just in educating your children, but also in developing their communication, emotional wellbeing, and equipping them with skills for their futures lives.
I am very much looking forward to developing my skills as a governor, and in supporting Quarry Mount Primary School to continue its success in providing a happy, healthy learning environment for its children.
